The MPP Turbo is a really solid budget option coming in right around $100 after a discount code PADDLEDB. For this price, it performs closer to paddles in the $200 range. On court, the elongated shape has a unique crispness and a deep, connected sound when you strike the ball. Testing shows it has a very flat, consistent rebound across the face, which translates to a generous, forgiving sweet spot even before adding any weight. The widebody offers a bit more sweetspot and control vs. the elongated version at the expense of a slight power reduction on hard forehand drives. The paddle lacks that high-end springy rebound, so your net counters can feel a bit muted during fast hand battles. Spin is standard for a raw carbon face. My main gripe is the handle finish and grip tape feeling lower quality. With many players adding over-grips these days, it shouldn’t be much of an issue. If you want an easy-to-maneuver, balanced paddle that won't break the bank, this is a great buy.
