Description

The J2NF utilizes the improved hybrid shape to deliver an impressive blend of a large sweet spot, top-tier power, and quick hands. Where the J2NF stands apart is its firmer, crisper response. The ball feels noticeably more "springy" which can be directly attributed to its unique face construction. This translates to added pop, especially for dinks and hand battles. If you want to put a little extra pace on the ball, the J2NF provides that slight edge. The difference in feel comes from its patent-pending design, which includes a notched foam perimeter and a FCC face layup, which gives it that stiffer feedback and pop. The overall handle is where this paddle is lacking and feels like this is where 808 decided to save on costs. Even though the handle circumfrence is 4.125" the design feels block-y and could benefit from more rounded or thinner shape to improve ergonomics. The grip tape used is mediocre, provides decent grip with sweaty hands, but doesn't have a cushion-y, soft feel like other grips on high end paddles. People with large hands will notice this less (I have medium sized hands). If you prefer a stiffer, more responsive power paddle with added pop for aggressive play, the J2NF is the winner in the 808 lineup.
